I appreciate this transparent view, Orel. I have one that keeps showing up as a need and problem, and I haven't seen the kind of product that solves it that I have in mind. I'm just getting things off the table to dive into the MVP version of it!
Great points about what one must be prepared for regarding people's reactions.
Personally I am still figuring out what ideas work, still testing the waters. I think you are right about marketing. I also thought that having a good product will automatically translate to sells, but if nobody knows about your product, it doesn't matter.
Great framework. Get started the right way.

Oh interesting!
Send a link over when the MVP is ready. I'd be happy to test it :)
OK. Excited for you to test it : ) It is a SaaS, so an extra reason why you'll be a great tester. I appreciate it.

Exactly.
Put out an MVP, get feedback, iterate, improve.
That's the way to go.
I'm currently on step 3 and have found a few testers. I'm nervous to post it in a public forum to find 50-100 people though 😬
Haha yeah, it's a scary part.
But let me share a lesson from my journey:
The sooner you share it and build it in public, the better.
